Her work draws attention to things that are overlooked, inspiring levity and connection through nostalgia and humor. She supports the Santa Cruz community (artistic and otherwise) with exhibition technical assistance, art labor for political organizing, snack recommendations, and a joke or two.
Louise is a cofounder of Little Giant Collective, a printmaking studio and community hub in downtown Santa Cruz and a core member of Bitter Cotyledons, a queer/trans Asian diasporic gardening project. She is a dedicated educator who has taught art workshops for Youth Now!, Santa Cruz Barrios Unidos, UC Santa Cruz Porter College, and the Prison Arts Project.
