My work often functions as a form of listening and exploration—responding to materials, natural elements, and internal states as they unfold moment to moment. I am drawn to rich colors and imagery to help explore emotions that cannot be spoken, movement that can only be felt, and images that are understood through depth of self rather than logic.
Much of my practice is guided by intuition and embodied expression. Influenced by my background in dance and somatic awareness, I approach the body as both subject and instrument—an, expressive landscape shaped by impulse, sensation, and presence. Whether working with photography, printmaking, or mixed media, I allow feeling to lead before thought, interested in the space where control softens and instinct takes over.
I am always experimenting with different ways to use monoprinting to create something new- whether it be seaweed I harvest, an incredibly difficult chine colle collage, soaking paper in lavender tea for the smell, or playing with every medium possible to create a watercolor wash effect- I spend half my time in the studio as an artistic scientist. There is no end to my curiosity. Art is an adventure, is it not?
