Ry Faraola Headshot.JPG

Ry Sunday Faraola is a Santa Cruz based printmaker and political artist. His work is inspired by the imagery of labor movements, such as the IWW, drawing heavily on vernacular design stylings, from sign painting to vintage packaging. His prints address such issues as workers’ rights, the housing crisis, and land access, often invoking hallmarks of California pageantry.

Faraola holds a degree in Critical Theory from Bard College at Simon’s Rock, and currently studies Printmaking and the History of Visual Art & Culture at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
